Gemmis in Pompeii

Absolutely great accomodation. New, spacious, comfortable, clean and shiny room with bathroom. Also very good breakfast included in the price.

Everything was great.

The whole accomodation was very nice and clean. There was everything needed. However for breakfast I would appreciate more choices and not only sweet pastry. But this was only a small minus.

someone must have smoked before we arrived but with open windows the smell was gone quickly. we very unlucky that the other guests had eaten up almost everything when we wanted to have breakfast at 9.30

Great location if you’re thinking of heading to the archeological site or even just into pompei in general. Also very close to the train station which is exactly what we needed. The room was really clean and the bathroom was immaculate. We were glad to have the AC too while we were there. The size of the room was great too.

The facilities weren’t what we expected based on the listing. The fridge in our room didn’t work and we had run out of toilet paper half way through the very first day so had to go pick up our own. We had expected some onsite clothes washing facilities as it was one of the reasons we picked the b&b but were then directed to a laundrette that is about a 20 min walk away which is not what we thought based on the listing to. We also would have preferred if we had a designated breakfast as we went out for breakfast every day and there was often none left.

Very cozy and clean place, warm welcome by the host. We particularly enjoyed the microphone-shaped shower, with good water pressure. Very tasty breakfast croissants and roasted bread. Excellent central location. Just beware that it is close to the Trenitalia train station (5-7 min walking), but not to the Circumvesuviana Scavi station (about 20-25 min walk).

For guests of longer stays, who tend to bring more clothes, it would be helpful to have more hangers in the wardrobe. The B&B is building is not that well maintained. With the unpredictable public transport in Pompei, it wasn't easy to accurately predict our arrival time to the property, so we had to wait a bit for the owner to come.
