Jenny and Jamie's holiday home on the edge

Everything about our stay was fantastic.

There was no fish and chips shop .

Location on site. Spacious van and comfortable to fit family to sit in the lounge and around the tables to eat. Decking area spacious. Lovely to sit around with the doors open.

Blankets on sofa could do with being changed due to dog hairs.

Being with family , owner left useful items like washing up liquid kitchen roll loo roll etc, but left over food items we didn't use ,

Caravan had few dog hairs in bedding, half eaten dog chews under furniture, mucky cupboards, dirty windows, double bedroom smell of cigarettes, sofa arms really stained , no beach,

Jenny very kindly let us check in early which considering the extreme weather conditions and two young children was much appreciated. The caravan is well positioned and handy for the site hub. We had everything we needed for a short break, possibly a little too much as many of the cupboards were full with bits and bobs which we didn't use or need. Heating very efficient, and beds comfy enough. Linen clean. Easy check in with key code. You can park right at the side, very helpful with young children.

Perhaps our standards are too high but we felt as though the caravan needed a good clean. The surfaces and bathrooms were fine, but retieving toys from under beds and the sofa was not so goood. Plus the sofa was badly stained, apparent when tidying up the throws used to cover it. We also had to wash everything we used to cook or eat from before use. Having said that, it wasn't easy washing up in the sink as (understandably) it didn't have a proper plug. Perhaps a washing up bowl would be a good idea, we would probably have bought one if we'd been staying longer. We had requested a travel cot but didn't use it as it smellled musty. Overall the caravan is okay, and certainly the hosts were very helpful, we would just have liked it to be cleaner.

Caravan was big and spacious nice touch with the Xmas decorations beds were comfy Jenny had put the heating on so it was an added bonus walking into a nice warm caravan
