Central 2 bed flat with off street-parking

Great location, good facilities, very comfortable.

No faults

Really easy space for us with a toddler who likes to run around, no steps or hazards to deal with. Lovely big bright bedroom at the front, handy having the private parking at the back.

The bathroom was much too small, the door badly designed, lots of close calls of getting fingers caught. The fittings were not finished well, carpet not fitted properly, bathroom lino not fitted properly, the fridge and freezer doors were broken leading to massive ice build up in both, one of the radiators was cracked, all the radiator valves were temperamental, staying hot even when turned off. And the TV wall bracket was loose so it kept tilting down. Also we found beer bottle lids and cigarette papers in the big bedroom on arrival (after having just been "cleaned"). The noise from the road was just about manageable but unfortunately we had horrendous noise from the partying students in the flat upstairs. Friday night there were people banging on the door having lost their keys, the second night there was a very large group coming in and out until 6am! Oh and "breakfast included" means a box of teabags, a jar of cheap instant coffee, a pack of Variety Kellogs kids cereals and a carton of long life milk. Not quite what I expected.

cereal selection was to my liking. i could find the off street parking rang the owner and he was very helpful also the key code supplied was incorrect he sent me the correct code very quickly :-)

my opinion the bed was too soft and the accommodation was too warm

Really clean and comfortable

Toilet door is flimsy and opens straight into the kitchen

Location was great and it was perfect as it was 10mins walk to the cricket ground

Unfortunately it hadn’t been cleaned very well The bed sheets hadn’t been changed from the previous guests as when I went to get into bed I found some sinus medication inside my bed. Also chewing gum and packet left on bedside table. There was also no toilet roll in the flat. Breakfast was included, which was cereal which would have been great if there was any milk to have with it.

Good location

Good location, comfortable beds. Access was very easy and host was incredibly considerate, kindly providing gluten free cereal to one of the coeliac guests which was above and beyond.

Bathroom door is very thin and in the centre of the flat so hopefully everyone in the party knows everyone else very well!

Property was really good

Parking wasn’t great really tight alleyway and neighbour was really rude in the morning as someone took our parking spot and had to park inconveniently neighbour was very aggressive and rude and racist

Nice location Comfortable bed

The bed linen was all freshly washed. It was nice that they left us some milk and some small packets of cereal. The beds were comfortable and the two single beds in the master bedroom could be pushed together. Towels were provided and they left us shower gel.

As soon as we opened the external property door we could smell there was an issue with damp on the premises. The allocated parking space is at the rear of the property with access via a narrow path and we were nervous about dinging the hire car. Thank goodness we arrived during daylight hours. We also did not realise we had to park very precisely outside the back of the flat so that whoever was renting a over could park and the owner had to contact us to move our car whilst the person staying above us left a polite note on our car. The host said there was tea and coffee but there was a tiny amount of coffee prob left by the previous guests and we had to go and buy more of that and more loo rolls. This is fine as there was no expectation on our behalf but there are certainly things which could be done to make this property great rather than passable and it's a lot of money for two nights of accommodation. There was a frozen beer which had burst in the freezer which we removed when we arrived. Drainage was not good in the sinks in the flat but in particular in the kitchen. The shower curtain is cheap and flaps around and sticks to you whilst you shower. There was no bin bag in the bathroom bin. I didn't want to get too much involved with cleaning / emptying bins but I did empty the bins before we left and cleaned all the surfaces. Really for me to have rated this as excellent, I think more tea and coffee and some herbal teas would have been nice, more loo roll, the sinks being unblocked, a better shower curtain, a packet of muesli would have been amazing. We would have liked more big mugs. The majority of the mugs were small.
