Quiet location

Cleanliness was below par in multiple areas. Photos taken. Reported to owners but no response. Multiple minor repairs required would make a massive difference.

"the snug not as described"

1.0

nothing about this accommodation reflects the description on booking.com , it reads as the snug , park hall thinking it was a chalet in a country house grounds it was not it's basically a converted summer house/shed in a cul-de-sacs in the owners garden.

no privacy if you were to sit out side you can see the owners garden large fencing adjacent to the owners house at the side opposite the bedroom window the fencing was about 4 foot it is not the fencing on the pictures on booking .com. it says central heating it's not there are 2 small convector heaters plug in the sockets blow warm air out. clearly says dinnettte but no sink to wash up in you have to use the bathroom basin next to the toilet, there's no cooker only a microwave and an air fryer, how do you wash that up in a bathroom sink ? the bed id about 5 foot off the floor excessable by steps which for safety sake are not fixed to the bed no bed guard if you were elderly or disabled there is no guard to stop you falling out. the accommodation is in the owners garden which is excessable via there side gate . park hall apparently is the area not the location of the accommodation we thought ow the snug park hall it must be in a country house grounds it's not it's in the owners garden in a private residential cul-de-sacs. my partner had just been getting over an operation and it was not suitable. there was no seating apart from two wooden stools no sofa. the spring on the mattress you could feel, dirty dog bowls , black fly's in the dirty cobwebs window, bed fitted sheet looked as though it hadn't been changed all creaced.

"Size isn't everything! Lol"

9.0

The bed was large and very comfortable, cleanliness was good both in the main room and the bathroom. The whole area was well maintained, and very quiet, which was lovely. Plenty of soft, fluffy towels, and also shower gel and hand/body lotion which was a nice touch. I didn't have a dog with me on this visit, but there was a nice area for a dog in the room, with bed and bowl supplied - also, a jar of dog biscuits, which was another thoughtful touch. The area that was available was safe and secure if I'd had a dog with me. There had obviously been a lot of thought put into making the best of a smallish area, and it works well. The entrance is private, and I was given good directions beforehand in order to find the property, and also where to find the key. I was only at The Snug between the hours of 9pm to 9am, so didn't get to meet the hosts, but as The Snug is in a private area of their garden, if I'd had any questions I could easily have knocked on their door. This air bnb met all my requirements, was a pleasure to stay in, and I've already booked my next stay for the end of the month ... that has to be the best recommendation!

"Great little place to stay."

8.0

Lovely little snug, very quiet location and everything was very clean. It has everything you need. Hosts are very helpful and friendly.

We wouldn't use the term 'didn't like' but the only feedback we have is: The TV is difficult to watch from the bed because of where it is located. The steps up to the bed are a bit steep and are a bit slippery on the wooden floor. It wouldn't put us off staying again.

"A great little hideaway"

8.0

I travelled with my 2 dogs and loved how dog friendly the place was, yet very clean and beautifully designed (sometimes dog friendly cancels this out). Whilst the Snug isn't the biggest of places, a lot of thought had been put into its design, and it was very practical (I had everything I needed) and comfortable.

Only bit of constructive feedback would be to consider alternative heating solutions; there are two blower heaters that are loud, and only the bathroom one can be set with a temperature. It did interrupt my sleep every time it came on during the night, but it was too cold not to have it on.
