The Parr’s Bank Hotel

The building is amazing. The ball room is huge and very impressive. The decor is superb and everything is very comfortable

The shower waste was not functioning properly which led to smells. I used a wet towel to block that and it was fine.

Location

Absolutely nonsensical room interior and bathroom design. Bed size doesn’t make sense at all. TV points wherever. No towel hangers or hooks in bath, shower setup that’ll be guaranteed to soak the entire room. Bathtub that looks nice but is impossible to clean around. Toilet light dimmer is located OUTSIDE the room and BEHIND the door which makes it feel like it was chosen specifically to be in the worst imaginable location. No bidet but I haven’t yet come accross a single one of those in the entire country so I guess personal hygiene is just not that important of a part of local culture. Walls very thin so earplugs were a must (outside noise was there and other hotel guests wanted to share their sex sounds the argument that followed and the more sex sounds that followed the argument from 5 to 6 AM) Prepared breakfast setup was a bit odd. You’re sort of going in blind with a lot of the options and have absolutely no control over portion size.

Gorgeous building, room was warm, clean, very nicely decorated. Great shower. Complimentary breakfast coffee, cereal and pastries. Right across the street from the train station. Friendly, helpful staff.

I don't think there is a lift in the building, simply for accessibility issues for customers.
