GBArea was fantastic, great views from the sitting room well located to drive into York. Comfy and relaxing.
The big negative to us would be it's old which is charming but that also makes it creaky which make the floors and doors very noisy, which make it difficult to move around at night when trying to get kids asleep.
GBLocation was good. Nice touch with wine and warm crumble on arrival. Unfortunately we found a dead rodent in one of the bedroom draws on leaving. Told owners and not offered an apology! Doesn’t appear to be any sound proofing between floors so very noisy for whoever is sleeping on ground floor bedroom.
GBHost was amazing, came back from there holidays and cooked an amazing apple crumble. They were very quick to respond with any messages can't fault them. The cottage was clean and comfortable. And excellent location for what we needed.
