I liked the hosts. They were very kind and accommodating. Very grateful we could use the room in the way we needed to recover from our tramping experience

Good for a quick stay. Had parking for our car and trailer round the back

Bathroom a little tired. Water needs running for 15 min before it's hot :-). But we were warned about that by the staff so it was fine.

Despite being on SH1, our room was very quiet and comfortable

There’s the impression that the cleaner or housekeeper just did the bare minimum as there was leftover frozen food in fridge, someone’s toiletry under sink, mould on various places in bathroom and dust on bedside cabinets

Friendly staff member at the bar/kitchen/reception. The food in the bar was pretty good.

The rooms were dirty, we were short on towels there was no one on the reception. The entrance wasn't well lit or obvious. I felt like we were going into a cupboard. The cupboards were broken, doors didnt shut on the bathrooms and the showers. Some urgent maintenance is needed. Plus we couldn't see fire alarms

This was listed as a motel but was a run down room in an old hotel The the whole place was very run down with need of a lot of TLC and not up to expectations Also was listed as last unit but they seem to have plenty of vacant rooms. Definitely wouldn't recommend
