The House of the poet

Firstly, have to say the communication from the landlord was just excellent. We loved the location, the size of the unit and the facilities offered. There is a Washing Machine and the clothes dried easily overnight on the clothes horse. Full kitchen facilities with tea coffee and other lovely amenities included. It was cool and comfortable and in a perfect location, right near shops and restaurants in a beautiful little area. It’s only a couple of minutes walk down to the shuttle area for the cruise ship and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Unit is on the ground floor, so you don’t have to cart your bags up flights of stairs. The landlord was exceptional, an absolute sweetheart! He looked after our bags during the day after checkout and took us down to the boat in the afternoon. I’m always hesitant staying in rental properties instead of hotels. This is one that I would highly highly recommend!

Best experience of our trip. The venue is warm, bright, immaculate. Our host (Paulo) did everything possible to ensure our stay was superb. Very walkable neighborhood with wide choice of restaurants (Il Conti was our choice, but there are many others). Great breakfast places within two miutes and the Mercato is a scene not to be missed. Not touristy - verrrry local - don't miss it!

Such a lovely apartment, had everything we needed, very modern and bed was so comfortable. There were 2 large bottles of water and some cakes left for us, which was really appreciated. Situated on a little cobbled street, very close to some lovely restaurants and cafes. Communication with owner Paolo was fantastic, he met us at accommodation with the keys; we were staying one night and joining our cruise the next day. He was just amazing and showed us where the port was the next day (5 min walk away), he even looked after our cases and brought them to us at the Port later on so we didn’t have to walk round with them for hours before boarding!

Loved everything!

Clean and uncluttered. Bottled water and some snacks left in the kitchen. Accessible with luggage on the ground floor.

No complaints come to mind after a two night stay.

The location of the apartments is simply great within walking distance of the port, beach, promenade and a large number of restaurants and shops. The apartments are quite big with everything you need: a washing machine, an ironing board, two air conditioners. The owner of the apartment is very friendly.

The apartment is immaculately clean, very well maintained and located just a short distance from the port, making it very appealing for tourists travelling by ferry/cruises. Our host, Paolo, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! He very kindly offered to help us find parking, gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and even went out of his way by driving his car to help us run an errand! We would definitely choose to stay at this property again next time we are in Civitavecchia and highly recommend it, if you are in the area.

Nice apartment, very hospitable owner of the apartment, answered all questions and told us about the city

Paolo was so helpful and accommodating. He took us around town to the market, the beach and the train station. He explained how everything in the apartment was setup. He even took us to our shuttle bus and helped us with our luggage.

The place was beautiful. The host was amazing. Paolo started out our visit by being kind enough to pick us up after the cruise. He immediately made us feel welcomed and showed us around to a few local spots like the market, the piazza, the ghetto and the beach. There were a few snacks waiting for us. The extra mile this man goes to to make you feel welcomed is by far the best. There is a slight smell of cigarette(no smoking allowed) noticed in the house but we’re in europe thats to be expected 😄. Overall 10/10 best stay ever!

It is on a lively street and can be a little difficult with the noise if its a busy night. We didn’t have an issues though.
