The House of the poet

Since house is on pedestrian lane, Paulo met us nearby to help with luggage and at the end of our stay drove us to the shuttle bu to our ship. house is the Gothic area where homes and businesses are built into/on remnants of ancient walls. Lots of restaurants and wine bars nearby as well as the Market.

Unfortunately the door lock failed and needed to be replaced: locking us out of our room for several hours

The apartament is very clean and well equipped. The Host is super kind and friendly. He bought for us fresh fruits, sweets, water, coffee and beer. Very well situated in the historical Center of the city, very close to the sea.

'Had a very remarkable stay, firstly as Paolo warmly welcomed me and my friend, he was very attentive to our needs, has provided for thorough instructions and recommendations about the house and the vicinity, and he is quite prompt with communication, too. He also selflessly helped us when a transportation strike arose during the end of our trip. Our stay at the house of the poet has been very satisfactory, comfortable, and enjoyable. The house and facilities were fantastic, neat and well kept. It is conveniently located close to restaurants, shops, points of interest, the train terminal, as well as the shuttle bus for cruise guests. Thanks heaps for everything! 🙏

Not a biggie, but we stayed over a weekend, and some late night music and chattering could be heard from the bar/restau below. Noise dissipated eventually... still managed to get restful night's sleep 😊

Everything was fantastic. Clean, spacious, well situated and well equipped and Paolo was a great host, meeting us at the apartment and answering all of our queries. A little noisy with the busy road and the bar beneath us, but earplugs helped.
