The property was clean and inviting

Location was good for our purposes. Beds were fairly comfortable. Area was quiet.

House would not retain heat. Can only imagine heating bills are extortionate as you constantly have to boost heat to keep warm. Feels like a false economy and a bit of investment in sorting out windows would make sense. Limited kitchen supplies provided (eg, no tea towel, limited crockery).

Spacious and pleasant property. Handy location for city centre. Hosts communicative and helpful.

Immediate area may be a little rough round the edges (iron bars over the doors)? We experienced no issues though.

We couldn’t find dish cloths and sponge to wash plates etc

The house was styled nicely to look at.

The house wasn’t clean. The mugs were dirty, there were dark hairs on the bathroom floor. The bedding was dirty and the throw that was dressing the bed had something white spilt all over it. The plug socket was broken showing wires in the single room where a child was staying. But it gets worse. We had no heating and we had a 3 month old baby and a child with us. We raised this with the company and were pleased that an engineer came to the house, however, we could not get any heating. We were told to go out and buy a heater and we would be reimbursed, but the children were already asleep as it was late and so this was not possible. The company asked for feedback of the stay, which I did and also requested a part refund due to the basic need of heating was not present in our stay. Since my feedback, the company has completely ignored my emails and haven’t even replied to say they were looking into the reasons why the house was the way it was during our stay.

It wasn’t clean. The stairs clearly had not been vacuumed, crockery was dirty, and there was a very strange smell in the property and bedding was marked. The outside bins were overflowing. The area is not the best. We paid a considerable amount for the 3 days and cut our stay short. We also paid £75 extra for the dog. Presumably this was for extra cleaning of a property that was not clean in the first place. I did make a complaint while we were there and sent photos. I have had no feedback which is why I am writing a review.

Great place. Lots of room, quiet, & amenities close by.
