Civico 41 Lucca City Center Apartment

We liked the space and the closeness to the different plazas

The property was above a busy bar that was open until 2am 7 days a week so the noise was terrible . The apartment had no ironing board no wine glasses no Netflix tv as it is described on the facilities list , you have to pay for that yourself .

The apartment was very central

There was no tea or coffee provided which you will find in most other accommodation. There was a very steep staircase to negotiate with luggage.

The size of the apartment was so much bigger than I expected. It was also very central. The host was super helpful. Enjoyed everything about my stay.

I think the box for the keys may need to be replaced as I really struggled getting the keys when checking in. Otherwise, all perfect.

Excellent location, comfortable space, great communication

Not much

This apartment is off the popular streets just enough to be quiet and serene. The sheets and towels were very well kept, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our three days there. The host was immediately accessible and answered my smallest questions straight away. The apartment is very spacious and felt like a home away from home.

While not a concern for us, some may find the bathroom small and the shower arrangement strange. It is essentially a “wet room” with a fold out enclosure for showering. While our daughter was totally put off by it, the rest were fine and used it with no problems.

The location and it is a clean and superb apartment

The location is great and the bedrooms are comfy, although the twin room might be quite tight for two people. The kitchen is small , but well equipped. The shower arrangement is odd because you have to pull screens across between the shower and sink, but it worked and is the compromise for a character property in a good location at a reasonable price. A nearby bar can be a bit noisy into the small hours of the morning. Some of the rooms (especially the sitting room, which has no window) were dark during the day, but we were out most of the time so not an issue. Bottom line, although some things could have been better, we felt the flat was clean, comfortable and value for money.

instructions re keys complicated, could just have been emailed. We had to call for the code as we had been sent the wrong one, not great given that we were late arriving due to flight problems and very tired.

Spacious rooms with ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Although the bathroom is quite compact, the shower was ingenious, great pressure. TV had Netflix too.

Worked well for us. A portable fan for living room would be good. The steep stairs as we were an elderly group but it is well lit and there is a handrail.
