"Poor experience."

Nothing really

I am an Army Veteran, retired in the rank of Brigadier 15 yrs back. We both are senior citizens and were put in a lot of inconvenience by the staff of the Hotel. I had sent 4 mails to the Hotel that we would be reaching at 2115 hrs on 26 Nov at terminal 3 on Flight AI 335 from Thailand and had requested for a vehicle. All mails were replied to by the hotel management. When we reached, not only was the vehicle not there, but when I rang up Mr Abhishek who was at the reception answered the call and told a lie that the driver was already there and would give a call soon. I gave a second call after 10 mins and got the same response. Since no call came from the driver, I gave another call and Mr Abhishek again said that the driver was at Terminal 3. About 5 minutes later I got a call from the Driver, saying that he was still in the hotel premises and would take another 15 to 20 mins to reach. Such blatant lie by Mr Abhishek. Anyway we took Meru cab and went to Aerocity since the location given was of Aerocity. After asking so many people and after so much delay we finally reached the property. I rang up the General Manager Mr Anil, who was quite arrogant and said that if I wanted to give 1 star rating that was my choice. Such arrogance from the General Manager?? Room had mosquitoes so I requested Mr Abhishek for mosquito spray or coil. Nothing was provided. When I asked him the next day he gave a lame excuse saying that he had sent someone but he gave it in the wrong room. Such a rubbish answer. Breakfast was horrible to say the least. Nothing seemed to be palatable. Overall a very poor experience indeed.

"i don’t believe booking.com"

This place is poorly maintained.

I had the worst experience ever with Hotel Almaty. I booked two rooms for three people—one for a family and another for a single man—through Booking.com for a total price of 8400 INR. After paying, the receptionist informed me that they only had one room available and insisted that all three of us share it. This was unacceptable! I had always trusted Booking.com, but this experience has completely shaken my confidence in your platform. At 3 AM, I had to find another hotel room for myself, while the family stayed in the single room provided by Hotel Almaty. To make matters worse, the condition of the room was appalling. The beds were unclean, the TV didn’t work, the water supply was poor in both rooms, and basic amenities like a shower were missing or non-functional. This hotel is by far the worst I have ever stayed in, and I cannot believe it was listed on Booking.com.

Staff were responsive both on WhatsApp and in person.

This place is definitely not 4 stars. The bathroom is very modest, the location is terrible (being fronting to a very busy road its noisy), the name of the hotel is misleading - I had to pay for the short ride to the airport terminal!, all fixtures in the room were very modest (not deserving of 4 stars) -- no floor coverings, terrible hangers in closet, no pictures on walls, etc. The location is NOT Aerocity but in an area bordering on being unauthorized!
