The people there were so kind.. Shops are there..

It was a nightmare, the proximity to the airport and beach is a false statement. Airport collection was not done, even though promised to do so. They wanted an advanced payment for the Taxi fare to ensure collection before l arrived in Cebu. Could not get into the room, even though 3 neighbors and one occupant was trying to help. We tried to wake up the owner, by knocking at his door of residence. Several phone calls were made. At one time the phone was picked, but the call was rejected. After trying for more than one hour at 3 a.m. l gave up and checked into a hotel in Cebu where l am staying to date. Next morning l just received a sarcastic "good morning" message on WhatsApp. I would like to send you the WhatsApp messages for scrutiny. I sent a WhatsApp message of dismay the next day, informing that I will not return to stay there and file a report to Booking.com, no apology or sorry was given, only a sarcastic message, your room has been upgraded.

The neighborhood, the location, the irresponsible behavior and the " We don't give a shit" attitude of the management

The air conditioning worked and the bed was a decent size. WiFi usually worked decently well. The room was also a decent size. Walk past the roads and buildings that are falling apart and you'll find a lot of shops to get food. A shopping mall is nearby, plus a few grocery stores are in the area.

Not a "One-Bedroom Apartment" but actually a normal hotel room. I was expecting it to be more of a place where you could live out of for a while, but this is definitely more of a place to stay for a couple nights, then leave forever. The staff never cleaned the room once in the month that I stayed. I ended up washing my own sheets and bought my own soap. The bathroom floor wasn't level, so there was always a puddle of water by the shower. Dogs start barking when the sun comes up, so it was hard to get a full night's sleep. I ended up sleeping twice a day or just staying up until the dogs stopped barking in order to sleep a full 8 hours. The power went out a few times, but that's normal. The steps in the building were very small so you have to be careful when carrying luggage. There's a fridge on the first floor that only slightly cooled anything inside. At first, there was only a toaster oven that had a few bugs in it, then a rice cooker was brought in. The coating in the rice cooker was scraped away at so there's no way I'd use it. There was also no place to plug these in, since the nearby outlets were fully used, and the cords were way too short, anyway. There was no bidet, no mini bar, no electric kettle (I also never drank the water), no terrace, and no streaming services. There is a streaming box, but I couldn't get it to connect to the internet. The building is difficult to get to. Huge sections of the area are closed off with only one or two entry points, so you basically need to use a tuktuk to get around. The surrounding area is very poorly maintained, with buildings and roads crumbling. There were armed guards protecting fancy houses in walled-off districts that contrasted the chunks of buildings spread around. I might have supposed to have registered with the security guards at the gates, but I have no clue. The instructions from the hosts said absolutely nothing about guards.
