The Lodge - Dog Friendly Farm Cottage

Everything - lovely flowers and cookies on arrival - such a lovely touch. Property is contained and private. Kids absolutely loved the games room. Christine was quick to answer any questions and went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable.

Nothing. The jacuzzi wasn’t able to be used on Friday evening as it wasn’t warm but understand it had to be cleaned and refilled from previous guests so it wasn’t a major issue.

Gorgeous lodge and surprisingly spacious

The location was perfect, away from all the hassle and bustle of everyday life. The garden is a bonus you can sit there for hours on end listening to the birds chirping away without disturbance.

The keys were in a key safe on the wall outside and we were given a code which was great. We had trouble with shutting and locking the main front door and opening the door onto the patio.

There could have been some more crockery and cutlery as once you'd loaded the dishwasher, there was none left for the next meal unless you washed it up. Also the grass had been cut but not picked up which meant it was trapsed inside and outside the lodge the whole time and impossible to avoid so it would have been better for this to have been picked / raked up before our stay. Also we felt the lady owner was not very friendly.

Property was wonderfully clean. Great hot tub

We used the hot tub but as our stay was in November it was dark when we used it. It would have been nice to have lighting from door to garden to hot tub as the solar lights where totally ineffective at that time of year.
