Private Guest Wing - Durie Vale Lodge

This is a jewel of a place. What total comfort! Lois and Alan have such great taste and Lois’ attention to detail is outstanding. Delicious breakfast. Alan is a great communicator throughout the process. They really want you to have a great stay. They were friendly, caring and nothing is too much trouble. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars and speeding satellites above was magical. Whanganui is a lovely town with lots of history and art. They both have lots of advice and tips. Highly recommend!

Loved the really warm genuine welcome, the beautiful setting and the immaculate guest wing. The decor, the linen, the bathroom items were all first class. There were canapés awaiting us, bubbly and a spa tub. This place is heaven on earth and is truly exceptional. Breakfast was beautiful and just what I would do at home except it had fruits from the garden I hadn’t tasted before - a great way to start the day. Magical hosts, magical home. Absolutely loved it.

What a marvellous BnB! Durie Vale Lodge exceeded our expectations in every area. The breakfasts were lovely, made even better by the friendly interaction with our hosts. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much Lois and Alan.

Lois and Alan were very welcoming and helpful. The suite of rooms are beautifully furnished and the private hot tub outside was a bonus. The huge bed was very comfortable. It was helpful to have the use of a washing machine. It was nice that Lois and Alan had time to chat with us each morning over an excellent breakfast - they are lovely hosts.

Everything was perfect.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable B&B. Phantastic breakfast. Very nice hosts. A very good place to stay for a night (or two) on our way north.

מקום שהייה היה מעבר לציפיות שלנו. המקום הכי טוב שהיינו בו בניו זילנד. מפנק, מיקום נהדר, ארוחת בוקר טעימה ומעל הכל קבלת פנים חמה של המארחים. מומלץ מאד.
