TWO BED Modern Apartment 5min walk to Town centre with Free Parking ! Under New Management

We didn’t like anything about this property.. we checked in at 8pm Friday and left on the Saturday morning because of how bad the property was

We arrived around 7:30/8pm on the Friday night and the flat was 9 degrees it was absolutely freezing. We had 3 children with us including a 10 month old baby. So we were trying to work out the heating and managed to turn on the radiator in the front room and the 2 bedrooms. However after an hour it was still 9 degrees it hadn’t warmed up and the children were freezing going to bed. I messaged the host saying I noticed there was a fire in the front room and another radiator in the bathroom but we couldn’t get them working. So I messaged to ask how they worked and I was told that I need to turn them both on. I messaged again to explain I didn’t know how to do that as the remote for the fire wasn’t working and there was no switch for the radiator in the bathroom. Again I got the same reply just turn them on. We still couldn’t work them. The radiators didn’t give out much heat and we were freezing all night. When we woke at 8am it was 14 degrees. By midday it was 15 degrees. We decided to pack and leave as we were all freezing it was awful. I have never complained about a stay in my life and haven’t never experienced anything like that before. The property was also extremely run down and parts were unclean. My son was supposed to be staying on the sofa bed but it had marks on it and there was no bedding provided other than what we could see a blanket on the floor which was dusty and dirty. Also throughout our stay all we could smell was cannabis. I don’t think this property is suitable for families and as I say I have never had to leave a property before or complain about one.

Property clean and modern but stench of cannabis totally unacceptable.

The chronic overwhelming smell of cannabis was unbearable. This is no place for families to stay in.

Was within walking distance of the Tower, shops and other facilities.

Quite a lot. Lack of basic things such as no toilet roll, washing up liquid/tablet for dishwasher. No iron. Only 4 towels between 6 people. Once I figured out to remove the back of the dongle I was able to connect to the wifi. Lack of cutlery - only 2 teaspoons and not enough for 6 people to use. Fortunately we had 2 children. Lack of seating area for eating. Could not use breakfast bar as an extra sofa bed was in the seating area. Thus meant the seats for the breakfast bar were outside the flat. Also very awkward to find. Electric fire looked great but did not give out great heat, particularly as we were there during a very wet weekend.

Few of the bulbs didn’t work but it didn’t detract from the stay at all.

The apartment was lovely and only a short walk from everything. Very modern and clean
