Studio 3B The Carriage House York 6m Village Location

The people running this place went above and beyond to cater for us. It was my girlfriends birthday surprise to york, between me and the owners we organised flowers, ballons and cake which they collected for me as i live 3 hour drive away and then helped decorate as well as being so polite and helpful with good response times to emails. I couldn't of asked for better host honestly if any one is considering a trip to york i'd highly recommend the stay as it's within 15 minute drive of two park and rides which take around 15 to 20 miuntes from the park and ride to york city centre and operate late hours. There is also a 24 hr taxi service which will happily accomadate you which for the journey isn't expensive. They really helped making this trip something special

Peace after the all night racket staying in York centre. Lovely to have a breakfast pack, supplies for hot drinks and even condiments and cooking oil. Very thoughtful for a Sunday evening arrival when shops are closed.

Hardly anything. Only two suggested improvements: Maybe a shower mat as it's quite slippy. And a contrasting mat outside the door to remind guests that there is a small step when leaving the bathroom. Hard to spot and to remember and we stumbled a bit.

The apartment was clean, tidy and quiet. Really liked the idea of the ‘honesty’ box. Really appreciated the breakfast selection. We had a lovely stay albeit short but would like to come back again for a few nights in the future. Thank you Jackie and Richard.

The light outside the outside door wasn’t working so it was difficult to see the key hole and I had trouble opening the door. Bit of frustration but Richard came and sorted it out. Thanks for that.

Lovely old building, very nicely converted. Very comfy bed. Good kitchen.

The sofa was not too comfortable and quite low to get up from..

It was so comfortable and spacious .

The room was ok but a little but basic. An expensive room with no decent WiFi and missing utensils in the kitchen I had to visit a local Supermarket to buy a frying pan . The mattress was uncomfortable and the place was really warm so I struggled to sleep .

This is a gem if you are not one for expensive York hotels and love the countryside this is a great place to stay.

Very clean comfortable accommodation and very good communication about all aspects of our booking.
