Lavender Cottage, Masham, Historic Listed, 2 bedrooms

The Cottage is an old style 2-UP/2DOWN and has been beautifully set up and decorated. It is centrally located in the village and everything is within walking distance. Parking (on the street) was not a problem during our visit in October. It is comfortable and cosy, and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils for those who like to cook their own meals. The washing machine and clothes rack were a blessing. We highly recommend this accommodation and the Butcher Shop next door.

We liked the location as we could park up and spend a couple of days just walking . The information office have good walking leaflets, all starting from the town centre. Masham has all the shops you need to buy local food and a couple of good pubs. The cottage was clean and there was enough pots etc. All OK for a short stay.

We would have liked better towels. One hand towel between two and no hand towel in the kitchen plus no extra tea towels not ideal. Having a TV that can only be used for streaming not very useful luckily we could get ITV x so at least could watch something. Not everyone has all these streaming services.

The cottage was well equipped, clean enjoyable to stay in.

The traffic noice was horrendous, didn't sleep for 3 nights. Not really suitable for pets had to take her across a very busy road to get to park TF

Perfect location right off the market square, lots of on street parking nearby. All necessary facilities available with a comfortable bed.

Lovely homely cottage, with plenty of space. The cottage was clean and welcoming. Easily got parked on the street outside but there is also a car park just up the road. Clear check in instructions from the hosts and they also checked we had got checked in fine. Location of the cottage is spot on, everything in walking distance.

A comfortable, well equipped cottage in the heart of the village. Good for restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Road noise, as it is on the main road through Masham. It's only single glazing at the front of the cottage, you could hear people talking outside and noise from heavy tractors with trailers and articulated lorries was very loud. However, we were provided with earplugs but not something that I am used to.
