The location is excellent - view out of the window is great. Located on the quiet part of the centre - overlooking the water. This made it a great spot. The bar downstairs is great.

The lack of cleanliness - it needs a thorough clean throughout. The stairs are incredibly steep.

Perfect place to stay in such a beautiful city. Gorgeous apartment, very well located and comfortable. Incredibly obliging and friendly management always quick to respond and who very kindly granted us a late check out. Would absolutely return and recommend without hesitation. Plenty of space and amenities for 4 adults including surprisingly very comfortable sofa bed!

Nothing - it was perfect!

This apartment is in a fabulous location, with incredible views over the marina. We loved having a washing machine, a big living room and full kitchen, and a comfortable bed. Thankfully, the sofa bed was comfortable too.

We experienced loud music from the bar below on the Friday night into Saturday morning. It was so loud in the bedroom that we had to sleep in the living room on the sofa bed. A reading lamp for the other side of the bed would be perfect. Be aware, the steps to the apartment are extremely steep and narrow. There is a handrail on one side. This should be shown in photos on the booking website, as many people would not be able to manage them.

Lots of people commented on the steep steps, this wasn't a surprise to us, as all stair cases are steep in old dutch buildings. The rooms were sparse yes, but large and we had everything we needed in terms of furniture and amenities.

We booked 2 apartments and one had a lovely view of the harbour and the other had a view of the road at the back. That was unexpected as the images look like they all overlook the harbour. The comms are curt and not very friendly - lots of rules, a small check in window (4-5.30pm of you get charged €10). But the main issue we had was the noise from the restaurant/venue below. On the first night (Thurs eve) there was a private party and the apartment above which my brother and his family with 9 yr old twins was practically shaking until 11pm. I asked at the bar and they said thats the only night there was a party on. So we gritted our teeth and got through that evening. But the next evening there was loud dance music coming from downstairs. I contacted the people we were in comms with re the apartement and they said they are not the same company and that Dutch law says loud music should be turned down by 11pm. I said this wasn't good enough and so they contacted the venue downstairs and after 2 attempts the music was lowered by 10.30pm. I'm detailing this, as some people wont mind this, but if you are sensitive to loud noises I think this would be useful to know. I wish I had known as I wouldnt have booked these apartments. Also the outside terrace wasnt well kept, a few plastic chairs and a bench, not very appealing to sit out on.
