It was a very nice location, we have stayed there for the weekend and it was perfectly placed - close to everything you would like to experience in Leiden. It has enough space for us to hang out inside as well, so it "ticked off" everything we were searching for.

It seems windows were relatively old and in cold, October weather it got very cold in the property at night and in the morning. It would worth looking into that or change the way heating works, so you are not freezing in the morning

The bed and pillows were quite comfortable.

It’s right above a noisy restaurant which really impacted my sleep. What super annoying about it is that the outdoor patio area is taken over at night time by noisy drunk people after the restaurant is closed since it’s easy place for people to drink their own beer, smoke and hang out. A group of shouting, screaming, obnoxiously, and deliberately loud boys woke me out of deep slumber at 3AM. I couldn’t even get the window open beyond a 2 inch crack to properly tell them to leave before the police showed up. When the restaurant is open, you can hear guests talking and smoking outside and then when the restaurant is closing, you hear the staff pushing bins around and recycling. Checkout was an early 10 AM. Not 11 AM. Not Noon. Furthermore, I was required to strip down the sheets, wash and replace all of the dishes that I used, as if I was the housecleaner. For the price I was paying I found this requirement to be rather cheeky. Finally, prior to arrival I received multiple messages requesting that I pay via direct bank transfer rather than through my credit card associated with Booking.com. I assume they do this so that they don’t have to pay credit card finance fees… it also does eliminate customer protection because if something were to arise with the booking, like it’s canceled, it’s pretty much impossible to get a refund because booking.com. Customer service is pretty shite. From a customer perspective, this created a fair amount of stress because I was already in route when I saw the messages and I wasn’t sure whether my booking would be canceled.

Excellent location with a beautiful marina view. Quite clean apartment with spacious living room. Big windows. Good enough set of kitchenware and cutlery. The city guide booklet and cards for a free welcome cup of coffee in the restaurant downstairs were a pleasant surprise. Having a terrace was really wonderful.

Narrow stairs without lighting. It seems the stairs carpet hasn't been cleaned for months. The banisters were sticky. The microwave, kettle, and toaster could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The couch was a bit bowed and squeaky. The key worked for both the entrance and the room. Think of that! The window was kept slightly open with two paperbacks, supposedly put there by a previous guest. No instructions to TV and microwave - if those were lost, they could have printed a few words. Most frustrating was the reminder about fines if we don't clean the room in a certain way before checking out.

Well equipped spacious apartment, with good views over waterways. Restaurant downstairs. Close to bus and supermarket.Short walk into centre of town.

As indicated in the listing , steep internal stairs may put some people off. Apartment is some distance from train station, but close to bus stops.

The apartment was in a special spot near the marina.

Management terrible. They wouldn't let us leave bags even though the ad says you could. 4 pm check in. Hard to pay, didn't use booking.com to pay, no toilet paper when we left. They refused to give us a new roll. Hair dryer didn't work, apartment dusty, windows full of kids marks, couldn't work the oven, tv only for your personal smart tv account, no cable tv. Bad directions could have included bus number. No air-conditioning, windows unable to open. We have been in the hospitality industry ourselves. This was NOT up to scratch Very expensive. I would not recommend it at all!!

Location is excellent, it is above a restaurant so there is some noise, especially when you have a window slightly open, kitchen area is very useful.

I was messaged asking for a bank transfer well in advance of my stay suggesting they did not take credit cards, I did not feel comfortable doing this, the payment went through at the correct time with Booking.com, something odd there. The place is very convenient but the bedroom is small and the staircase is very steep, (I personally had no trouble with this), some people may struggle with it. The shared entrance is worn and grubby. You have to pick up the key within a particular time window, otherwise there is a 10 euro per hour fee. Check out time is 10am, received a message saying they expected me out before that time after stripping the bed, emptying the bins cleaning up and putting away all used kitchen items.

The location was great and easy to find, we enjoyed the bright windows and all the facilities offered were great. The bathroom is spacious and well set up. We enjoyed the terrace as comunal space also for other guests but been just outside the bedroom there wasn't much privacy.

Sadly it was really hot and the wide and bright windows didn't help to keep the apartment cool. No air conditioning available and a little fan did the job. The sliding windows were blocked and just about opening to let breeze in....not useful for hot weather but definitely safe. The bedroom is tiny but mattresses were really comfortable. We hoped to have 2 people sleeping on the sofa bed...but actually is not really possible, it's just about comfy for 1 person. The bathroom is spacious and well set up. Afterall ws enjoyed the place even if it was only for 2 nights.
