Casa Amelia - Charme in Taormina

We loved this property so much. It is a beautiful spacious apartment located on a gorgeous little side street just off Corso Umberto. There is the most amazing roof terrace with stunning views in all directions. We loved sitting up here every night and looking out over the beautiful coastline. But the most special thing about this accommodation is its wonderful owner Ugo. He is without doubt the best host we have ever stayed with. He collected us from the train station and drove us along the coastline pointing out all the things to see before parking up and walking us through the heart of Taormina (carrying my not so light bag -thank you Ugo 😅) and showed us the best places to eat and drink. In the apartment he has thought of everything that could be needed during a stay and had wine and fruit left for us. He texted us all his recommendations and we tried every one of them and they were all fantastic. We had such a special few days in Casa Amelia in Taormina and we will definitely be back again. Ugo was extremely helpful in all areas of the booking. He was possibly the most attentive host I have ever had, he genuinely wants you to have the best experience possible. The villa is in the center of Taormina, steps away from the Main Street but far enough removed to feel peaceful as this area is busy. Its is decored in delightful and pleasant touches which makes it feel more like a home. The top floor is a sun drenched lounging area with views over the sea and mountain. It is lovely to sit up there for coffee or drinks... We stayed 2 nights which was rather short but Ugo still made us feel like old friends. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay! Ugo was an amazing host from the start he sent us plenty of helpful details about what to visit. On our first day he met us personally, explained everything we needed to know about Taormina, and even drove us to a beautiful spot where we enjoyed delicious arancini. At the end of our stay he kindly gave us a ride to the train station. The apartment itself was spotless, with both rooms very comfortable and well equipped. The highlight was definitely the upstairs terrace spacious, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying the atmosphere of Taormina. Ugo is such a pleasant, fun, and welcoming person. We absolutely loved our experience here and recommend the place 100%!

L’emplacement est parfait, l’appartement est lumineux, très propre, on s’y sent bien! Bonus pour la terrasse avec vue sur l’Etna et le théâtre antique. Carolina est une hôte fantastique ;)

Ugo was absolutely amazing! He made contact with us and explained exactly how we could meet him to get to the property. He even sent a little video explaining what exit to use and how and where we would meet in order to take us to the property. He even helped us with the luggage to take to the property and up the stairs to the apartment. He was also so very attentive with my elderly parents to make sure everything was OK for them too! He went over and beyond! He did the same when we left the property. Ugo and his wife are truly one in a million, excellent hosts! They are always happy to help, provide detailed suggestions where to go and what to do and always willing to give advice. The apartment is centrally located, beautifully and cleanly kept which is an absolute joy. It was literally home from home and truly recommend it.

We booked the place because they had a baby bed, then one day before we came she told us the bed was broken.

We had a wonderful stay in Casa Amelia! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. The apartment was very clean, well-equipped, and in a perfect location—everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended!
