Upside down in Settle. Stylish, central and cosy

Location was amazing ,right in the middle of Settle . Acco.odation was vert Quirky

The whole place is looking drab and need a refurbishment . In particular the pillows are very discoloured and need to ne reached. Did not dare to look at Mattress or duvet .

We really enjoyed our stay, and the property was 'cosy' and central. We had a small issue with the hot water, spoke to owner who was very helpful.

Bedrooms were found woefully neglected by the cleaner !!!!! made us worry whether the bed linen was fresh or not. Terrible filth/rubbish found behind both chest of drawers, one black sock found under a bed, half eaten packet of sweets, 3x2pence coins and some rubbish found under chair cushion, and double bed slats fell out during the night. The kitchen cupboards also needed cleaning and sorting out. You need to check your cleaner's work, you are being 'Done over' or you are 'complicit' ! We left all cupboards away from walls on departure ! JUST IN CASE ?

Spacious and clean home with the centre of Settle on its doorstep

The property was fabulous, we just needed to ring about where to park but the host was very chatty and informative.

Lovely quirky cottage right in the heart of the village, beautifully clean and well appointed.

Very centrally located. Parking was an issue though.

The accomodation has lots of character. An unusual layout but very roomy. The instructions and effort made by the owner were very good. The property is very tired looking though. It was very dusty and in need of a good deep clean and redecorating. Grubby walls and curtain nets, grime marks on doors etc. The furniture is mismatched and shabby. The wifi code didn't work or the tv remotes. Not important for our one night stay, luckily. The bed linen was very old, again mismatched, but seemed clean. The mattresses were thin and cheap and from a bygone age. If you are staying for a walking holiday you probably would be more hardy and not be bothered, the other benefits would compensate.
