Authentiek japans huis, volledig gerestaureerd, prachtige locatie met een fantastisch uitzicht. Een prettig ontvangst van de gastvrouw en haar engels was uitstekend. Heerlijk geslapen en in de ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer sterke aanrader.

とにかく景色の良さ。人の良さでした。 施設としては、清潔だし、朝ごはんもとても美味しかった。思っていた以上でした。 縁側の椅子に座って見る、日暮、朝の景色が最高によかった。親戚の家に泊まりに行ったような気楽さ。

What can I say apart from that it was perfect. Time slows down when you’re here. Yuki-san opens her beautiful home to people who’d love to catch a glimpse of Japanese countryside life. It’s a home with the warmth and comfort that you’d feel at a home. I was utterly in love with Japanese countryside, and this was truly a gem. I got to learn about little details about the place, Yuki-san and her husband renovated the place from a 110 year old house, there’s a small beautiful garden in front, many of the original architecture is preserved. If you travel during winter/spring, you’d enjoy the kotatsu. Breakfast was beautiful, looking out at the mountains. Please come, it’s amazing!!!

This property is a real gem. The quiet simplicity of this beautifully located traditional Japanese house is hard to overstate. The wonderful breakfast before the open sliding doors looking out over the lovingly tended garden with the mountains as backdrop will remain unforgettable. Yuki-San is a delightful host, both warm and open and discrete at the same time. Easy to reach by train from Kyoto and close to the beautiful Akame waterfalls. Highly recommended!
