Cally Palace Hotel & Golf Course

We liked its grandeur and the grounds were lovely. We used the golf course which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We had no complaints

Reception staff very welcoming. Room was nice although slightly dated but very clean. The view from balcony was delightful. Overall the experience was lovely.

Some areas of hotel a little dated and in need of modernisation. Walls in the room were thin and could hear people clearly in other rooms. Corridor doors very noisy.

Location fabulous, we have been before. Staff very helpful. Able to introduce a friend to the hotel. Very relaxing, sat outside with a pre dinner drink watching golfers on the practice course

Unfortunately, our evening meal was not the best. The creme brulee had split, it was covered in strawberries and broken biscuits. It really shouldn't have been served. As 2 single bookings, we were right at the top of the building in 'tired' rooms. Not like the other rooms we have stayed in

Lovely room and the garden was lovely to walk around

Very comfortable even though it’s an old building. Historical decor. Great to have use of the pool & jacuzzi

Minor detail... sliced lemon with rind in an apple only fruit salid..

Grand space and location

The hotel was quite a grand building. The waiters and waitresses we very helpful, particularly Barry and Ebony. . The food and wine were very good.

There was a lack of basic information such as times the restaurant was open and no map of the hotel, or the extensive grounds. There were no power sockets at either side of the bed. The double bed requested was two single beds pushed together, with a gap between them.
