From the moment you arrive, the hosts make you feel very welcome. They are warm, kind, and always ready to help. The food is amazing, both breakfast and dinner are tasty and made with traditional Sri Lankan recipes. Nilukshan also organizes fun activities. He knows a lot about nature, wildlife, and culture, and his English is very good. He is also happy to give advice and help you plan the rest of your trip. We did the safari to Wilpattu with him and this was fantastic. If you get the chance to stay here, don’t miss it. This homestay is a true highlight of Sri Lanka!

We had two wonderful days at Sweet Home Tourist Rest and felt very comfortable in the familiar setting of this guest house. The breakfast was excellent, there is even a fridge with water and beer available and the hosts immediately organised a contact for us with an extremely pleasant local guide! Two intense days in an impressive place.

La habitación está muy limpia y las camas son grandes y cómodas. Necesario el aire acondicionado, ya que si no hace muchísimo calor. Nos dejaron toda una planta para nosotros solos. Ducha con agua caliente y posibilidad de usar cocina y sala de estar. Buen desayuno. Destacar también que la familia es muy agradable.

El baño está fuera de la habitación, pero al tener en este caso la planta para nosotros no hubo problema. Mucho calor en la habitación, importante contratar el aire (el precio es económico).

We voelden ons zo welkom bij Nilukshan en zijn familie. Ze hebben een prachtig huis met schone kamers en fijne bedden. Tegen een kleine betaling kan je gebruik maken van een heerlijk ontbijt en diner. Je hoeft de deur niet uit om te gaan eten, want zijn vrouw is een ware kok die de lekkerste maaltijden bereidt. Erg lekker allemaal. Nilukshan is een fijn persoon met veel kennis van het land en de verschillende regio’s. Je kan uitstekend gebruik maken van zijn aanbod als gids. Very nice family business. We felt like being home. This people take great care of their guests. The owner Nilukshan is big professional together with staff of the accomodation. They prepared the best meals and helped us to organize perfect tour in Anradhapura and Mihintale where we learnt a lot of things about local culture. Our room was very clean and spacious. At the end of our stay Nilukshan drove us to different city and told us a lot of interesting things about Sri Lanka on the way there. The whole experience was simly unforgettable. Thank you for your care and hospitality.

This guesthouse is run by the nicest family you can imagine. They do everything to let you enjoy your stay. The apartment was very comfortable for 5 people. Breakfast with fruit and lots of Sri Lanka snacks. We experienced the nice cooking class and they also arranged an excellent english speaking guide (Camal) for us to visit the old en new city. This stay really made our first days in Sri Lanka a great experience!

If I have to think of one tip airco in the living room

The guest room upstairs is very spacious and tidy. The balcony is a lovely place to chill out in the evening. The host’s cooking is fabulous. We had both breakfast and dinner and throughly enjoyed it. We also had our laundry done promptly. We parked our rented tuk tuk safely in the front garden of the Sweet Home. All was sweet and sound! The property was absolutely stunning. The room was very big with enough space to keep all your belongings. We had a bathroom for ourselves and even a kitchen with a fridge to keep our drinks cold. There was even a seperate living space for us to enjoy.
