Mt. Vernon Motel

Linens were clean.

Dozens of flies hatched on the second night of our stay. We had an infestation. The more I killed, the more they kept appearing. No one was staffed at night or even in the morning when I left. I called the 2 numbers posted on their door. No answer, but an hour later a man showed up with a fly swatter and broom, which I requested via voicemail in desperation. What I really wanted was another room. I didn't get any sleep that night. No apology, no offer to refund my stay, no nothing.

1. I liked that there were so many windows in the room, and the views were lovely. It is out in the country. It was an inexpensive room but you could see both the sunrise and the sunset. There was also a window in the bathroom. Three windows in all. 2. The manager was attentive to needs, even though it is a budget place. There was a very nice fridge, and an adequate microwave and TV.

There's traffic noise from Lebanon Road. There is no noise buffer. The wifi was not reliable in the room, but everything worked out anyway, and the manager would have allowed me to sit in the office on the couch to use the office wifi if I had needed to.

It is convenient to get to where you are going

I couldn’t connect to WiFi and the outlet where the tv was plugged in didn’t work I had to use a extension cord to watch tv. They do not supply soap in the hotel the only thing they had was rags and towels

The bed was comfortable.

I know prices change from online to in person but we over paid. We got this room because it was cheap and we didn't want to spend over $100. Well we paid that plus and there was nothing with the room. Had to go out and buy hand soap and other shower needs. Plus the sink wasn't attached to the wall and the dressor drawers were all screwed and coming apart. Couldn't use it if I wanted to. I would have paid the same price somewhere else and would have had atleast hand soap.
