Nothing - it was great! Although definitely use the mattress protector they kindly provide if you are using the sofa bed 🙂

Beautiful apartment situated in the basement of a residential property all belonging to the host. For the price we paid, we were more than happy with the apartment and the cinema room was amazing. The apartment is a very short walk away from a local Lidl, Aldi & One Stop. Plymouth Pavilions & Plymouth Ferry Port are also within a short walking distance. If you wanted to walk into the city this would take you approx. 15 - 20 minutes. I would also like to point out, don't let previous negative reviews put you off. Being in the basement (but plenty of natural light) there is a humidity issue which the host have overcome with "quiet" dehumidifiers. If they start getting noisy... just empty them. I read one review before coming to Plymouth which made the property sound terrible and it isn't. I would quite happily live here if it ever became available as a residential let. I think some people see the word luxurious in a advert and then expect the Ritz !! - This apartment is beautiful and was more than adequate for our needs.

Parking is a bit of a pain but I knew this before arrival. Most of the street is resident permit parking only but there are plenty of area's to park FREE with a 3 hour limit (no return within 2 hours) between 09:00 - 18:00.

The property was nice and clean in a good location.

It was advertised as two double bed and it’s actually 1 double bed flat and the other room has a day bed and the room is small. Two double bedrooms is misleading. Also the water heater kept going off. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you.

Communication was great with the host.

The property was in a basement which wasn’t made clear in the description. It was loud with plugged in dehumidifiers, when I entered the property I felt I walked in to a wall of humidity. This instantly impacted my breathing. There was a door that could be opened but there was often somebody there smoking. There was also plastic dehumidifiers which were overflowing. There was also an odour in the property probably from the damp. The pictures on the advert make the property look luxurious but this certainly isn’t the case when you arrive. The location didn’t feel safe, all in all not a pleasant experience and I checked out after one night to get a hotel as I didn’t want to and couldn’t stay there. Thankfully I was able to get a refund on my second night.

Lovely stay. The location was central to all the beach front attractions. The apartment was clean and well equipped for cooking, etc. Had a happy stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

There is no parking in front of the property for a long stay. Although info was given to me for other options before arrival.
