African Hills Safari Lodge & Spa

Very good stuff I’ve been travelling a lot I’ve never met stuff so friendly like the stuff at African Hills Lodge. Respect of other people and the humbleness within them out of this world. The room Cleaning was the best even clean when we went for dinner and when we come back the room was clean they changed towers and the room is smelling nice that was out of this world for me. The game Driving this guy called Thabo , he did an amazing job he explained everything in detail you can tell that you have love for animals and he knows his job well and he respect everyone. It was me and my husband we were sharing a car with this family that has his two boys those boys sometimes they where misbehaving the way he addresses them he was patient and he understand they are just kids and they are on vacation . Every question that we wanted to know about animals he answered with knowledge I even went to ChatGPT to verify some of the things and I bet everything was perfectly explained . I even felt like it’s overqualified for the job but the way he was doing the job you can tell that he have passion and love for his work I was impressed my money did not go to waste. And this was not my first game Drive , I’ve done a couple of game drive before , but this was the first one that I can see made more sense. If you go there and you meet Thabo as your instructor you will come back loving animals even better. My husband lost a charger I called reception and they borrowed as their own charger within a minute it was delivered in our room mind you this was around 4 am in the morning the answer the call quickly and they delivered what we wanted even though we did not ask for it. This made me realise that they wanted to make sure that I was the was not stressing us and it did not.

The gardening outside it’s beautiful but it needs someone to take care of it . They were leaves everywhere the grass was not properly green I felt like it needed that to make it a 10 out of 10 I gave it 9 out of 10 because of the person who was taking care of the gardening is not doing an exceptional job

What an incredible weekend away. The location is absolutely beautiful and staff so attentive. The game drives were informative and the highlight was the elephant interaction. Really recommended for a day visit or a few nights stay.

In the current cashless era, it would be easier to tip the guides and handlers with QR codes in the game drive truck and at the elephant station. Just a suggestion, every thing was absolutely perfect.
