Good position close to Jhb and setting was great. Friendly efficient staff.

Accommodation had a shared coffee station area, and door between our room and this common area did not lock. Buffet meal on Saturday night was mediocre, with limited choices and many dishes being cold or only luke warm. Well below expectations based on previous reviews and the 4 star rating.

The staff is great. The elephant experience was a highlight for me.

The cleaning can do better, some parts of the room were dusty and lil webs on the bathroom windows

We booked the game drive, the mountain hike and a spa massage. The game drive and massage were excellent. The mountain hike was disappointing. The room came with breakfast and dinner. The food was great.

We booked the mountain hike. Sadly, it was very underwhelming. For the price paid, we expected an interactive guide with animal and bird sighting and explanations. There was none of this. We were driven to the starting point. The trail was very short, about 2.5 to 3km in total, up and down the mountain. Seemed like the guide was in a hurry to get back. Will not recommend it.

The place was beautiful and quiet. Enjoyed the elephant experience. The food was also good.

The people. The staff are attentive, personable without being overbearing and always ready to help. The rest of the staff are exceptional. Even greetings from the groundskeepers, and a very attentive catering team. The restaurant staff and manager are some of the best waiters and front of house I have ever seen at any venue in SA. We will be back for sure!

Greetings at reception. Initial greeting was a bit cold, as we had not been to the lodge before and seemed like a little offish.

I liked that elephants are roaming. I liked that its clean.

The food was not good and it takes long to come. We even had to cancel dessert cause every meal took long to prepare. The service was not good, took 30min to get something to drink. The facilities are outdated especially for the value for money.

The location of the property is quite and peaceful with variety of animals and great views. The food tasted good, however variety would be appreciated.The game drive and elephant interaction was my highlight. The game drive had most animals and the driver (Clerance) made the drive interactive and educational.

The bathroom to our room had an unpleasant smell the whole time and it was too small. Tried the spa facility and the massage was not value for money,it was bad, too much oil on the body with no benefits of the massage. The food was delicious however the menu was not accomodative to people of colour, most people complained of the options on the menu. Requested a birthday set up to the room and the price charged vs what received was a scam. I wouldnt advise one to take the option for the room set up for this facility. definately not a place for celebrating special occasions....atleast not for me
