Once Upon a Tide

Wonderfully decorated, fairly large, nicely situated apartment directly at the seaside. During high tide literally 2 metres from the water. So many nice little touches in all aspects.

The tranquility of this place is just awesome, watching the sun go down over the water was just amazing

This place is so convenient at the beginning or the end of your journey, as its so close to airport

Amazing place right on the beach, gorgeous views and great value for money. Great communication with the hosts as well 👏🏻

The property was exceptional. It was just what we were seeking after many days on the road.

Top notch accommodation and location.

Only one concern was the windows in toilet and bathroom need to be frosted glass or similar, can see straight in from outside walkway.

Overall I was very happy with my stay here. Although my stay was short, I really enjoyed the location and amenities. The home itself was quite modern and new. Hosts were fantastic, and enabled me to check in early as well as left a little baked treat upon my arrival. Being winter I wasn't able to fully appreciate the water front location to go for a swim/kayak, however, I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in the warmer months.

The property is located on the bottom floor of the hosts home so as a quiet solo traveller you can hear a fair bit of noise from upstairs when they are walking around or going about their day. I was also a bit conscious that their balcony/windows overlooked the outdoor seating area. As I was staying in NZ for the FIFA Womens World Cup, access to sports tv channels would have been great, however, the WIFI connection was good enough to pay/access this online.
