Ease of access, location, amenities, and overall space in the flat

The space is well designed as a person who appreciates interiors. Rooms were sizeable and designed to fit me and friends comfortably. The accommodation is well-equipped and clean. Location wise, it sits on a semi-quiet street, making it ideal for us. Also, it was centrally located with easy access to any kind of transportation, shops and restaurants. Overall, the experience at Ometusco was pleasant and would surely consider again next time I'll visit CDMX.

The only concern I have is how thin the walls are - Felt like I can hear my neighbours easily making it less private. Also, my room is above the automatic garage, so it was a little loud whenever someone is using it. Also, we wished that we had a balcony to enjoy, similar to what was shown in the photos.

The location and apartment we fantastic, big bright windows and they let fresh air flow through when it was warmer outside. Check-in services were great, they helped us get into the unit and showed us how to use the access system. When we reached out for missing items in the unit they were delivered and they offered a cleaning half-way through our 7-day stay. All the amenities you would find in a apartment!

The cleaning staff were late getting our unit cleaned and handed over to us, which resulted in not the cleanest unit (but we helped a little bit and got it into tip top shape on their behalf). The hallway access point in the bedroom closes to the elevator was disappointing, the door was flimsy which was concern for safety but also carried all the noise in the stairwell into the room. If the building were to invest in a more heavy-duty and secure door, it might help with proper securing of the unit and suppress some of the noise that can be heard at night in the stairwell. (We ended up purchasing a white-noise machine from Office Depot to help with out week long stay). I would also suggest installing hooks or somewhere to hang the bath towels after use.

I liked the area and appreciated that, after the issues became too serious, they moved us to a new property.

The property felt overpriced for the quality provided. The QR code entry was unreliable and did not work at 3 a.m., which lett us locked out. They also ran out of water, so we were unable to shower for a couple of days, which was unacceptable. Other basic issues included a lack of toilet paper, limited toilets, no clear place to throw away trash, no bathroom hangers, and no full-size mirror. The walls were very thin, noise traveled easily, and communication from the property was often unresponsive when problems came up.

This was a huge issue, I rceived a message from the owner to say Astrid would be there to meet us at the property. When we arrived, there was only a security guard who spoke no English. We found out that we needed a QR code to operate the elevator to get to our apartment. I WhatsApp'd messaged Astrid whose reply came back that she was not on duty until March 1st. We needed to contact Carmen- I called her and it took some time before she could locate our reservation. Finally we got the QR code and the instructions, lucklily another guest showed us how to use it and as he said, pay close attaention as it's a mission to work it.

It would have been really nice if someone had been there and shown us how to use the complicated entry system. When we settled in the appartment we found out that out AC uit was set to 16C and we could not raise it or switch it off so we had cold air blasting over our heads all night. Carmen did send someone over the next day to sort that out.

La ubicación, el lugar, la seguridad, acceso y salida muy práctico, la decoración impecable y muy bien equipado el departamento.

La primer noche nos costó dormir a algunos, sólo cómo recomendación para huéspedes, llevar tapones para oídos, para aquellos que son de sueño ligero, los ruidos por la noche en las habitaciones que dan a la calle principal, puede ser molesto.

Excellent location, easy to get around.

Noise was absolutely out of control. Can hear conversations in all other appartments, outside, walls and windows are super thin and toilets flushing in other appartments are crazy loud. Got no sleep. Some sort of pump truck emptying something at 11 pm in the building for an hour was deafening, partying/screaming in courtyard and other apartments and security didn't do anything about it. Even the people in the appartment above just walking around were enough to drown out the TV due to how thin everything is. In addition, the photos are misleading. The two bedroom apartment i booked shows outside space clearly in the photos. There is zero. It wasn't listed, but it's decieving having it in the photos. Toilet seats in either bathroom wouldn't stay attached and shower in the main bathroom was completely clogged and wouldn't drain. Privacy blinds don't keep anyone from looking in after dark, so you're in a big old fishbowl if you turn on a light.
