Authentic Desert Camp - Al Wasil

The authenticity was spot on. Everyone and everything was perfect. It was a hot night and the staff put our beds outside the tents, sleeping under the stars and full moon night was above and beyond our expectations. Camel rides were a little pricey but ya gotta do it. Diner and breakfast were traditional and plentiful. We will be back!

Staying at Authentic Desert Camp was pure magic! The traditional tents were both beautiful and authentic, offering true desert charm and comfort. The meal was a feast—homemade, flavorful, and unforgettable. The silence and serenity of the desert were soul-soothing. If you are looking for a full immersion in the Bedouins' traditions, the Authentic Desert Camp hosted by Saeed is the best experience you could find in Oman desert ! From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!

We had the best day and night at Saeed's desert camp. After discovering the authentic bedouin tent we were going to stay in, he brought us into the desert by car for some dune bashing and to see some camels. Hugging desert camels was amazing! Then Saeed set up a little traditional sitting area on a high dune for us to watch the sunset. Back to the camp we had a traditional dinner and tried to learn some traditional dancing. In the morning we were able to enjoy breakfast and take our time in the nearby dunes and with his camels.

The tent is authentic but very confortable Dinner is simple but tasty ! I recommand this desert camp ! The owner, Said is very kind and respond to all questions with enthousiasme !

An absolutely perfect and an authentic desert experience! From the delicious traditional breakfast and dinner to the breathtaking night sky filled with stars, everything was incredible. The tranquility of the desert, the warm hospitality, and the exciting activities made our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Said for his warm welcome and incredible helpfulness—he truly made our stay even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a magical escape!

Amazing experience with Sayyid who really puts a lot of effort into making the guests feel comfortable- from the meet-up till the last moments of our stay we really felt that he truly cared for us, providing all help and a lot of time in our stay. We got engaged a few days before coming to his camp and just mentioned it to him and he prepared a totally unexpected cake for us! What is more, he knows a lot about the desert life as he comes from a Beduin family. I really recommend staying at his place to get the true desert experience :)

It was the most authentic, calm and cozy housing surrounded by reddish golden dunes. The hosts were amazing and super helpful. We had the best time!
