Authentic Desert Camp - Al Wasil

We loved our stay! Everything was very well organized from the beginning, the food was delicious and the tents are beautiful. You have all the comfort you need and even more, with a private bathroom. We also recommend the dune bashing!

Rather solitary location within the hotspot of desert stays in Wahiba Sands. Likely one of the camps that come closest to an authentic Bedu desert experience. Extremely friendly hosts who are also very efficient and accurate. Spacious tents with private bathroom including toilet and shower (not very authentic, but appreciated nonetheless ;-))

Fantastic location for enjoying the sand dunes. Beautiful tents and seating areas. Friendly staff. Good food.

Cold showers

Lovely tents, good food and great hospitality! While we sat around the camp fire, Saeed took a lot of time to answer all our curious questions about life in Oman. A really authentic experience! Strong recommendation!

There are only 7 guest tents which makes the whole experience more personal. The Authentic team are wonderful hosts . They cook for you on an open fire under the stars. It is a magical and really authentic experience that also includes dune rides and rides into the sunset if you wish.

Our stay at the authentic Bedouin Omani desert camp was truly unforgettable. The sunrise drive across the dunes was breathtaking, offering panoramic views of the desert & fun music! The evening was filled with joy & some dancing! The traditional meals were a culinary delight, providing an authentic taste of Omani cuisine. Camel riding was a unique experience, and meeting a baby camel was a charming highlight. Our guide, Saeed, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, ensuring our experience was both educational and enjoyable. The camp’s commitment to providing an authentic Bedouin experience, from the traditional accommodations to the cultural activities, made our stay truly special. 

We should’ve booked more nights because it was so fun! Hindsight 20/20!
