Happy Villa (Marina View Villas)

The entire unit was very clean and equipped with all things you need for your stay. The bedroom is super comfy. The bathroom also super large. Easy access to many places for eating and sightseeing.

We stayed at this homestay for 2 days and 1 night. While there were some positives, overall, we were quite disappointed with the experience, especially for the price of RM160+. Pros: Plenty of parking space. Hassle-free check-in and key collection. The owner kindly allowed us to check in early at 1pm (official check-in time was 3pm). Centrally located, making it easy to get to other places. Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay. Security deposit refunded on the same day after we check out.

Cons: No air conditioning in the living room, and no fan provided in the bedrooms—only air conditioners that took quite a while to cool the room. The cleanliness was very poor. The toilet floors had sand, one of the beds also had sand, and it felt like the place wasn’t cleaned properly after the previous guest. After flushing, the toilet made a loud and annoying noise. Basic amenities were missing: no hand wash, dishwashing liquid, or tissue in the kitchen. The TV wasn’t a smart TV—only usable with a pendrive. Overall: We were quite dissatisfied with the stay. The few conveniences couldn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness, comfort, and basic essentials. Even though the host said that they could arrange for cleaning.. cleaning was supposed to be done before the guest arrived. Not after the guest complained. Definitely not worth the RM160+ we paid..
