Amazing surroundings, so peaceful. Just what we needed to get away from it all! Host was very friendly when came to introduce himself, thanks Chris! 😁

Did struggle to find where the cabin was. Perhaps a little sign with an arrow may help others? Non flushing toilet was certainly an experience...glad I had known my friend for over 30 years to share!! Another little suggestion of a toaster? Took crumpets for breakfast but ended up taking them back home.

The location was fabulous. If you're looking for peace and quiet in a very natural environment then this is it. Chris and his partner were very welcoming and the hut itself was clean, neat and tidy.

Nothing not to like really. The hut is basic but for me that was part of its charm.

Excellent location for walking on the South Downs Way.

My son doesn’t like spiders and there were a few loitering inside that we had to sort out.

Location of the cabin is great when one walks the South Downs Way and Chris was very welcoming, thank you. Meonstoke is a lovely village.

However, the cabin is hardly insulated and we woke up to a mere 4 degrees ambiant temperature as we didn't want to keep the tiny little and inevitably noisy heater on all night (the duvet is quite thin...). The shower cubicle would need some updating and we could never get the shower to run warm water for more than 10 seconds. There is no hot water at all in the main cabin and there were no table or chairs in the cabin so we ate our food sitting on our beds - all this is acceptable (-ish) if the price mirrors the lack of comfort but at £97 a night (unrefundable), we found it quite a lot less comfortable than a youth hostel and at least twice the price... I am sorry to leave this review as we really enjoyed the location and you were so welcoming when we arrived a bit late.
