The communciation with the host was pretty good and efficient. Upon request the host even provided us with more toilet rolls (originally we were given 2 for the six of us, for 3 nights). The rooms are all very spacious and well kept, while the air conditioners were largely working fine (apart from 2 which were hard to figure out how they work). The location is very good, fairly easy to walk anywhere in Siracusa and not too noisy, either.

Overall our experience in the apartment could've been even better, if only we were not attacked by lots of super tiny bugs/fleas which inflicted lots of bites on our kids as well as us adults, from the first night onwards. Besides, while all the windows can be opened to allow for natural ventilation, they come with no mosquito nets hence many small mosquitoes joined those tiny nasty bugs to attack all of us during the nights...
