City Centre Hidden Hideout for 2

A very nice and cozy apartment in the city centre with excellent amenities. An excellent value for money choice.

Everything was great

The location is very central. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. The host was very helpful and provided lots of information to facilitate check-in. Apartment is spot clean. Everything was perfect.

Nothing

Extra treats for guests. Chocolate bars in the room were rather delightfully wicked. Also, little extras like salt, pepper and oil in the kitchen (for cooking) made my stay easier. I could have breakfast in my pyjamas instead of dressing early to go out.

The TV was a little tricky to work out. I know it’s not a Smart tv which I don’t have at home either but I still couldn’t get regular TV news, weather etc.

Was central location

Being woken up most mornings at 5:30 am by bottles being emptied into bins , then being collected by the bin lorries. It certainly didn’t say that on any information. The bed linen had holes in it and was far too big for the bed . Lack of storage. Other people’s personal items in cupboards and draws.

The location was very good for accessing many of the sites of Edinburgh. The apartment was very clean, roomy and well appointed. And the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming as well. We would definitely consider staying at the City Center Hidden Hideout if we were ever to visit Edinburgh again, which we would love to do!

The apartment is a delight! Clean and well-appointed. Plenty of very new home-from-home appliances, even though we didn't end up using them.

Not the fault of the apartment itself (and yet entirely a feature of its location) but the early morning clatter of delivery vehicles for the adjacent bar outside the bedroom window every morning took some shine off our stay. Were those guys playing Donkey Kong with the beer kegs? It sounded like it! The earplugs were a nice touch but couldn't attenuate the racket quite enough.

The appt. was spotless and had everything I needed and more. Warm and comfortable. Tea/coffee and extras including snacks were appreciated. It’s central and could walk everywhere.

The front door lock took some time to open with key every time and on arrival took approx 5 min to get in! You are in close proximity to pubs and on 1 night I was woken at 3am by a drunk screaming for about an hour.

Perfect location for exploring the city. Everything you need. Worth a stay.
