We had the perfect one night stay here on the final day of our Cumbria Way trip. The property was clean and beautifully presented and had all the amenities required. Location was perfect within walking distance to the village shop and pub.

"We loved the village, the walks and the local facilities"

7.0

It’s Location to the village and the surrounding area

At different times of the day 07.30-09.30/ 15.00-16.30 school run parking weekdays, plus additional parking from parish hall events, cars were surrounding the property. This was annoying

"A hidden gem"

9.0

The location of this place is so unique! A real gem. The house is decorated to a simple but lovely standard. The bed is comfortable. The shower is clean. The oven is of a good standard. The WiFi is great. Warm without feeling stuffy. Loved that the living room and kitchen were on the upper level so you could see out across the fields and ignore the road. The drive from Keswick is about 30 minutes and very quiet and beautiful. We would have used the log burner if we had spent more time in the house. It's a real coat place. Communication from the hosts was strong. We would 100% stay here again.

Shocked there wasn't a microwave. The bathroom floor felt dated and a mat to step out onto from the shower would be a perfect addition. The only thing we would change upon our return would be to bring our own towels. The three supplied were very hard, rough and faded (although they smelled nice and clean).
