The Old Map Shop

The Old Map Shop surpassed my expectations - what a lovely property. Stayed here whilst walking the Cumbria Way and felt so lucky to have found this place - beautifully refurbished. It was very close to have dinner at the fabulous Muddy Duck cafe and buy fresh milk from the local vending machine. Caldbeck is lovely!

Very clean and lovely layout. Nicely converted and very comfortable and cosy.

A shelf in the shower would be a benefit. Random parking of others was interesting.

We loved the location and quirkiness of the building. We found fresh milk and tea/coffee which was a gorgeous touch after a long journey. All of the house instructions were easy to follow. Comfy bed. My daughter was very happy that she could sign in and settle into a movie. Great price, lovely communicative, environmentally aware hosts. Jo x

Being on the junction, it's a little bit noisy.. but that also meant we could watch the world go by. It definitely wouldn't stop us returning.

Nice building , well thought out modernisation. Very cosy and comfortable. Short stroll to pub and good village store.

Nice property well converted. Good facilities.

Mattress was a bit firm. Personal choice! Sofa also well sat in.

I didn’t have breakfast in the property.
