The Old Map Shop

A beautiful property in a lovely village which had a useful range of amenities. The property was very well maintained, very clean and had everything you needed. We stayed whilst walking the Cumbria Way so the property provided an excellent and comfortable overnight stay, we felt very refreshed on leaving the next morning. Thank you!

I would suggest to add the Microwave

Very well equiped. Cooking gear, washing facilities, wood stove, … the place is charming, warm and cosy when you arrive after a day of horizontal rain and hail on the Cumbria Way.

Loved the setting and the layout. Very tastefully done. I found everything I needed. It is surprisingly spacious and was warm and cosy.

Excellent property for a short stay just outside the Lakes but easy access to Ullswater, Keswick, etc. Ideal for anyone walking the Cumbrian Way. Good facilities, very warm and cosy. Caldbeck is a lovely place.
