"Great stay in Caldbeck"

The Old Map Shop was a great place to stay on our Cumbria Way walk (and it would also be lovely for a weekend away). Caldbeck is a beautiful village with a great shop and pub. The stay was comfortable and clean and the Old Map Shop is even nicer than photos!

"I needed a get away of total peace and space and I got it."

Very easy - everything there and self explanatory. Well stocked with tea, coffee, salt and pepper. Light and cosy. Loved the woodburner.

Communication was excellent, it was clean, well equipped and excellent location on the Cumbria Way. The bed was so comfy and living room and kitchen was just what I needed for a relaxing stay.

"Just marvellous."

What a little gem of a property on the edge of the Lakes District. In a lovely, quiet little village, felt so safe, wish we could have stayed longer but had already pre-booked further accommodation. Would thoroughly recommend this little gem to a couple or even if travelling alone. Very good value and well equipped tiny cottage. Unique.
