The Serene House Bed & Breakfast

The hosts were excellent and accommodating. Delicious, fresh made breakfasts every morning. So quiet and peaceful…easy to disconnect and relax. The beach was only about a ten minute drive, the national park about 15-20 min drive, and 45 min or so to Old San Juan if you are interested in exploring. Perfect location, friendly staff…overall five stars from us!

The sea view suite/casita is a dream! To be surrounded by lush rain forest and look out onto the ocean, falling asleep to the sounds of nature, then to wake to a gourmet, homemade breakfast down at the main house—we only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Such a special place with amazing hosts, Maribel & Pablo.

The drive up to the houses is a little narrow, but not worrisome!

The Serene House is an absolute gem. Nestled in the hills outside Luquillo, it lives up to its name in every way. Maribel and Pablo are warm, hilarious, and gracious hosts, and Pablo is an amazing cook. My wife and I spent 3 nights in one of the casitas on the hillside above the main house, and Maribel and Pablo's transformation of the property is nothing short of amazing. They are very knowledgable of the local dining and activity options, and didn't steer us wrong with their recommendations of where to eat and what to see and do during our stay. We will be going back!

Top notch in every way. Friendly accommodating staff. Wonderful breakfasts. Location was close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful. Great views of the rain forest and distant ocean.

We absolutely loved staying here and highly recommend it! The views are stunning, the food delicious, the atmosphere peaceful, the rooms comfortable and Pablo and the team were so welcoming. Amazing location a close drive to the beach or to hikes. Can’t wait to stay here again and again!

When you arrive here, you are treated like family. Pablo and Maribel are such warm, caring hosts and you feel at home right away. The big house is a work of art in and of itself with a tranquil pool outside and breeze filled common area where Pablo serves up both savory and sweet unique breakfasts every day. Our casita was private and very zen. Every detail was carefully attended to including artwork, lighting, shower, and outdoor access. All of this is tucked away in the beautiful hills away from the main towns in this region; yet very accessible to all the great activities including the beaches and rainforest. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else when coming to the eastern region of Puerto Rico. This was hands down the best bed and breakfast experience we have had in our 30 plus years of travel.
