Wonderful and tranquil house, in an excellent location.

The location of the property in relation to the town was very good.

The double bedroom at the top is quite enclosing with low roofs. Kept hitting our head. Also, on the first morning, there was someone walking on the roof and we had to shut the blinds. They were working on the property next door and there was a lot of noise during the day. Owners are trying to sell the property and we were asked to be out at 15.00 on one day so that they could show a potential buyer around. They did offer to buy us a drink for the inconvenience. On the last day, the water supply stopped for a couple of hours - we had to leave the property so could not have a shower on the day. A disappointing end to our trip to Tavira.

Where it is, how quiet and organised it was.

Beautifully restored home across three floors in residential area of Tavira. Kitchen is well stocked with all necessary items to prepare meals. Host kindly left bread, butter and wine which was much appreciated after a long bus ride. Will meet local residents walking by, not tourists. Short walk to the supermarket, local restaurants, pedestrian bridge-Roman bridge is just slightly further. Easy walk to train or bus station. Host responds quickly to any questions, provides a comprehensive guide for Tavira.

Not a fault of the property but need to be careful-hit our heads more than once on the sloping bedroom ceiling

Cosy , lots of different living areas , great attention to detail

The shower would probably need time to reheat for more than one person (was travelling solo and lasted about 5 mins for me) . Everything else perfect and would highly recommend staying

The Doll’s House is a pretty mid terraced house in a good location. It is well equipped and comfortable.

Unfortunately, during our stay the street outside was closed to cars as they appeared to be installing a new water main. This meant find parking away from the house and having to carry the luggage quite a way. This was not a massive problem but for people who maybe less able this could have been a problem. Some warning in advance would have been very helpful. The second point to note is the adjacent property with a party wall is undergoing complete renovation which looks like it has been underway for some time. This ensured banging, drilling, loud music. On days when we were out this was not so much of an issue but on a couple of poor weather days when we were at home this was not so good. The Doll’s House is really nice and we cannot say anything bad about the property, but the ambiance has been significantly impacted by the works. Had we known about the renovation work next door we probably would not have chosen to stay there. When the works are complete I would have no concerns about selecting this property again
