"Very good"

8.0

The cottage was lovely, really comfortable, really clean and had everything we needed. We loved the dog treats for our pup too. Nice walks right on the doorstep. Really enjoyed our stay

There was nothing we didn’t like, however the steep stairs were a challenge on the old knees.

"Cute, cosy and clean cottage"

10.0

Thanks so much for a lovely stay! The house was great - clean and cosy with great facilities. The location was lovely too - Cromford is a nice little town with some excellent walks with great views. The owner was very pleasant in communication and flexible in terms of checking in and out time - much appreciated!

Nothing, it was lovely!

"Comfortable and tastefully renovated 18 century cottage"

8.0

Lovely renovated cottage. Very well stocked kitchen with good quality appliances, crockery and cutlery. Good WiFi. Good heating. Comfortable beds. The over bath shower has very good pressure but it is a bit low. The owner was very helpful. I would highly recommend this cottage. Steeped in history In a very interesting part of Derbyshire

Note that this is an 18 century cottage and not surprisingly the stairs are narrow and steep. It would be snug if accommodating 6 people.

"Charming cottage in excellent location for industrial-history lovers and walking enthusiasts"

9.0

Excellent location as a base to explore the Peak District and other Derbyshire attractions with good local transport options. The house is immaculate and very charming, with lots of period features and attractive decor. The beds were very large and comfortable, and the modern shower works very well. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are several nice pubs and restaurants a short walk away. It is also just next to a public footpath and so you can get onto the the walking paths very easily. There were thoughtful touches throughout such as cosy blankets in the living room, bathroom sundries, tea and coffee provided, and leaflets about local attractions. Communication with owner was very good and clear.

I would not recommend this otherwise-lovely option to anyone with mobility issues as it is a traditional 18th century house with quite narrow and steep stairs. It probably isn't the best option for anyone with young children for the same reason, and also because the road it is on has quite fast traffic (although there is a safety barrier). Parking is nearby but not directly outside the front door, which was no problem at all for us but might be an issue for some visitors.
