"A fabulous place to stay with a beautiful location and superlative service!"

The hostess, Chantal was delightful and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was super comfortable with a stunning view over the lake. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in any b&b anywhere.

The breakfast was great and prepared by our host Chantelle herself. The guesthouse is super clean and cozy. Exellent overall expereience.

No complains. It was extremely hot outside, but the guesthouse was cool and we could enjoy the swimmimg pool overlooking the dam.

Excellent location, well appointed, neat and homely. A delightful stay wrapped in true South African hospitality! Our host, Chantel exudes a tangible passion for the wellbeing of her guests and presents a wonderful breakfast! The sunset from the deck across the dam was memorable, thank you for sharing your home, we will be back!

We enjoyed 4 delightful days at A State of Grace. Chantal is an excellent host who continuously walks that extra mile for her guests. We had great suggestions for restaurants and outings, incl. Lamberts Bay, Bird Island, the San cave paintings at Steenbok Farm Cave, a drive across the scenic Pakhuispas to Travellers' Rest, the Clanwilliam Museum and an insightful historical walking tour around the old part of Clanwilliam.

Excellent breakfast with a view of the Clanwilliam dam, Most gracious hosts; shared many interesting fireside conversations. Fire lit at breakfast on a cold morning was extra welcoming.
