It was very peaceful area,

The beds and furniture wasn't good and comfortable. We booked for 4 adults and the dining chairs were for two people. in front of the entrance had lots of unwanted items and decorating stuffs.

Kitchen, Beds (not very comfortable) and bathroom were clean.

It was our mistake that we didn't realise the real distance between apartment location and Edinburgh central. It is actually 33 miles from centre of Edinburgh and took us more than an hour's uber ride to reach from Edinburgh train station. This information was not available anywhere on Booking.com. Additionally, we were told by the uber driver that it is almost impossible to call Uber to this location if you wish to call a taxi. Only option for transportation is a private taxi (Taxi information is at the property) and no other transportation is available. Basically, this apartment is in the middle of nowhere. When are arrived late in the evening there was no heating or gas in the property. We were subjected to work out and fix central heating system (without getting into details) more than one hour over the WhatsApp with the Host after emailing him (called many times but our calls were not picked up by him). Host only called us back on my request on an email to call back to fix this problem. He lives in London....no one is available in Edinburgh. We booked this apartment for two nights but we left after only one night (which was very uncomfortable). We just didn't like location (very isolated) and most disappointingly we were subjected to work out and fix central heating system in the apartment on arrival.

It was warm. Great views from the window. Good stove and fair size fridge. Some tea and coffee available. Bathroom good size. Quiet location.

Couch uncomfy as very old. Chair in lounge has no legs so also uncomfy. Cobwebs on upper walls, and peeling paint in main bedroom. Main bed also old and fairly uncomfy. No bedside lamp and few sockets. Limited kitchen ware. Just needs bit of investment and would be fine.

The location and the host were amazing, it is obvious they really care about hosting and making the stay enjoyable and dogs are welcome.

I can confirm what others have said already here: some clear instructions on how to get to the property would have been good (majority of sat nav's send you there ending up downhill at the seafront with a 5 min walk uphill to the property), a lick of paint would do wonders to the property and the mattress in the large bedroom definitely needs replacing (or a very good mattress topper) as you can feel every individual spring, also kitchen not equipped to properly cook, which I would expect when renting an apartment.
