Lit pas très propre

We booked same day with instant confirmation and no cancellation fees, which was super helpful for us trying to organise our trip on the go. It was great value for money. The room was spacious with a big window with a view onto the town. The aircon and wall fan was very effective - cooled the room and dried out our laundry. The bed was big and comfortable. The room was clean, we noticed how clean the floors felt compared to other accomodation. The location is fantastic, close to the pier for bus departure, and food venues. Tam coc is the touristy area, but when we visited in July it was not busy, and it is convenient to stay in that area and use a motorbike to get around the area for sightseeing. We were at the end of our visit when we stayed here so didn’t need to enquire but it looked like the hotel organised rentals and tours and transport etc. Our last minute booking caught them a little of guard, and the man that checked us in gave us efficient and kind service using google translate, and he brought us an umbrella when he saw us about to leave for a walk in the rain.

Nothing, it met our needs. Some things other people might want to know is that the term homestay in Vietnam can be more of a marketing phrase, and often refer to smaller family or privately run hotels. This is very much a hotel- there is a lobby/reception and multiple levels of similar rooms, accessed via a staircase. There was not much security, you can walk into the building, and there was no one at reception when we arrived or departed. But the basics of what most people need in a hotel are available here for half the price, the main differences you will notice are in guest supplies like bedding, towels, electronics, etc. which we didn’t not miss. We would recommend this hotel to other people who are on a budget but want more space and privacy when they travel.

AC was not working

It was fair considering the price. Nice host, always keen to help. The air-conditioning was not working really well (I am talking specifically about the heat), so it was a bit cold at night.
