Extended Stay America Select Suites - Charlotte - Tyvola Rd

This was a business location. While the staff were very friendly, the property was run down, and the halls smelled heavily like cigarette smoke. While in the room, the constant thumping of the people upstairs was annoying. The bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable, the pillows were thin and lackluster, providing no support whatsoever. The TV system was confusing and hard to work, instructions were lacking.

I have never had a worst hotel experience. The room smelled terribly of cigarettes even though it is marked as a non-smoking hotel. We found multiple cockroaches in the room. Pictures are misleading, kitchen and bathroom need renovations. The hotel also has insane dust mites, both me and my husband left with terrible allergies which we have never experienced in our years of traveling. Hotel was packed with extra trashy people during the stay as well, seemed very unsafe. Area is also not the cleanest. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else closer to downtown. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
