Coorie by the Coast, Direct Beach Access Getaway - Arbroath

Excellent location and the access to the beach was a real pleasure. We did not have the best of weather and so it would have benefitted with a covered area outside (looks like it had one in the past) but it did not spoil a very enjoyable stay.

Would have loved two toilets and a bigger Kitchen.

Liked the direct access to the beach and downstairs facilities

Didn't like the single glazing in upstairs bedrooms you could hear the seagulls very noisy. the sofa was blocking the heat coming from the radiator making it a little cold at certain times.

The property was in a great location and the beach was right at the back garden wall. The views from the garden onto the ocean were amazing. The property was clean and tidy. All the expected home furnishings were available. Ideally suited for access to all the shops, harbour, restaurants and pubs.

The back garden lacks protection from the wind or rain therefore the use of the garden is restricted. The properties on either side have invested in a raised decking area and this allows better vision on the ocean views and weather protection etc. The staircase inside the property which takes you to the upper level is terrible and it is very steep and easy to slip as I did coming down them. The shower has no power and it is very difficult to wash when very little water is coming from the shower. I would recommend the investment in a new power shower.

The property is in a fab location and being able to walk straight out on to the beach was such a perk

The only thing with it is the staircase which is very narrow and steep so not for everyone but we managed with it? There is a down stairs bedroom which will help with people not so good on their legs but other than that it is very good

Location. Access to beach. Comfortable beds.

The plastic flowers and plants especially those on the outdoor space but accepted this is just a difference in taste and not something that spoiled the experience.

The heating wasn’t working properly so very cold at night had to sit with duvets on The shower had very poor pressure struggled to wash shampoo out of hair. No plug for kitchen sink No curtains/blinds on living room window/ bathroom window/ kitchen window and door to outside at back which was mainly glass. Privacy and warmth definitely an issue. Bedroom had a venetian blind which firstly doesn’t come to edge and also when closed and you lay in bed you can clearly see the house window opposite and see what they are doing so I can only presume they can see you in bed when the light is on. With the street lights it is like daylight at night in the bedroom if you are from the country and used to darkness this doesn’t create a good nights sleep. The staircase is extremely steep and narrow although we didn’t need to use upstairs. Outside in the garden looked abit rundown. The photos are well staged and dressed but mostly not true. The mattress in downstairs bedroom is very old and needing replaced. The oven had a big pool of grease in the bottom. There is also a very strong damp smell when you walk in the door. No welcome pack either which is a nice gesture The bedside light fittings fell down through the night and also you can’t reach to turn them off from bed We were given a refund after 2 days as too many problems.
