Live in historic building - View to Bryggen

Great location!

Very good location

A real gem of a place in a good location, if you want to get a traditional type of experience in a historical home this place is hard to go past. My daughter (13 yrs) and myself stayed here and she loved it ! Not far to walk to anything and great food options nearby. Owner was very helpful when I had problem with the code, fixed straight with a quick call. If I'm ever back in Bergen one day I would try and book this if available.

We loved the whole character of this place but if you don't like stairs (steep and tight) then you might want to think twice. No problem for us but just to let others know if you are booking.

The room could have been cleaner. It smelled like cigarette smoke when we first arrived. Also the bed mattress and pillows were yellowed and stained which was not great. The stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are quite steep and no railing, so I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues - I think this should be mentioned in the listing.

The bathroom was cramped. This was especially true of the shower. Noise from the street was also a variable that made sleeping challenging.

The apartment was very cute and cosy! The location was perfect and close to everything! The beds were comfortable and the shower was also nice! We also used the kitchen and everything was working perfectly (minus the kettle but it’s fine just the pan). They provided teas and hot chocolate in the house. The bus to the airport also stops close by so that was perfect since we had an early flight, didn’t have to wake up too early.

The stairs is a killer if you have large luggage which we did - took a bit of time but got it up! Also the stairs to the top floor is slightly slanted so be very careful!

Location was good. Room and living area is spacious! Able to do laundry as well.

Kettle was a little worn out hence unable to boil water. Staircase was steep and abit hard for us to carry up & down 2 large luggages.

Reconstruction of all 3 buildings surrounding the property - was not advised to us and was extremely disruptive. Response from the hosts was unacceptable. Staircase and wires dangerous within the property. Piles of owners stuff in every drawer and shelf - broken furniture left lying. Kettle and power sockets shorting out.
